As Xiaomi prepares to unveil the Xiaomi 17 series powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor later this month, all eyes are already on the next month. The Redmi K90 and K90 Pro are expected to debut in October. Ahead of the upcoming launch, the anticipated Redmi K90 has surfaced on China’s 3C certification database. Here are the details.
Redmi K90 Series Unveiled
Recent reports indicate that the Redmi K90 has the model number 2510DRK44C, while the Redmi K90 Pro has the model number 25102RKBEC. The K90’s certification, listed on the 3C database, confirms that the phone will support 100W fast charging. This will allow the device’s battery to fully charge in a relatively short time.
According to leaks, the Redmi K90 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, while the Pro model, the Redmi K90 Pro, will feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 is expected to be official this month, and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 in October.
Rumors suggest the Redmi K90 will feature a 6.59-inch flat, 2K RGB OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. For security, an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor will be embedded under the display. The phone is expected to have a 7,100mAh battery and support for 100W charging. Premium features such as dual stereo speakers and a metal mid-frame will also be included.
The more powerful Redmi K90 Pro will feature a larger 7,500mAh battery and also support 100W charging. Unlike the Redmi K90, the Pro model’s periscope telephoto camera may be the most important differentiating feature between the two models. Other than that, other technical specifications are expected to be similar for both phones.
The Redmi K90 series is expected to be unveiled at the end of October, approximately a month after the Xiaomi 17 series. Xiaomi’s sub-brand Poco is also rumored to announce the Poco F8 Pro and F8 Ultra series in the first quarter of 2026, which will be rebranded versions of the Redmi K90 and K90 Pro, respectively.
